Neighborhood Overview
Within easy walking distance of our homes are a supermarket, a pharmacy, an Asian market, and several unique restaurants. Residents also enjoy walking to events at Bradley University and playing in Bradley Park.
The Uplands Residential Association (URA) is open to all neighborhood residents and is a very strong and active organization. Annual membership dues are $20 and support neighborhood programs, communications, and shared stewardship.
Historic Character
Founded at the turn of the twentieth century, the Uplands is known for distinctive architecture, mature street trees, and carefully maintained boulevards. The neighborhood's physical character reflects more than a century of residential life in central Illinois.
Association Governance
The Uplands Residential Association meets on the second Thursday of the month at 7:00 pm in the basement of Bradley Epworth Church, at the corner of Columbia Terrace and Elmwood Avenue. There is no regular meeting in December, September, or July.
